Named sea urchin by my children the boat is easily rowed and handled by youngsters. it tows well and makes a good tender to a larger vessel although rather too heavy to be conveniently carried on deck.. As a teenager in the mid 60s i built a vic smeed mm class sea urchin free sailing yacht and i would like to build something similar (or the same) now. but the plans for sea urchin are no longer available.. I stumbled into the bilge and someone suggested i start a "which boat" thread. i'll start here since "sea urchin" is a definite possibility. plans are ordered..
60's aerokits plans. hi, does anyone have any of the old aerokits plans for their smaller boats, sea urchin, sea nymph, patrol boat, etc. that they would be willing to upload? or even paper copies if price was sensible? i built most of these back in the 6o's and i would love to remake them now..
